教学过程:

Step 1. Revision

LevelOne:Show the Ss some traffic signs and know them.

Ask (1) What does this sign mean? / What’s the meaning of this sign?

It means it is a bridge.

(2) What about this? It means it is a street.

(3) Are there traffic lights? Yes, there are.

(4) Is there a zebra crossing? Yes, there is.

目的及依据:复习所学的交通标志和方位表达法,为指路所用进行铺垫。为下面的教学打下伏笔,培养学生辨别方向的能力。

Step 2. Presentation

After the students know the signs, ask the students to get to know signs. Here are some simple instructions, do you know the meanings?

Cross the bridge and turn right.

Take the second turning on the right.

Cross the road at the traffic lights.

Walk past the police station。

Before listening: know and write down the information of every picture.

Finish A1.

Check their answers.

目的及依据:引出新的、稍微复杂的指路用语,教给学生并及时巩固,确定他们已经掌握,同时为下一步做承上启下。

Step 3 Listening

LevelsTwo: Let’s play a game “Treasure Hunt”.

Listen to the tape and put the sentences in the correct order.

Listen to the tape and write the correct numbers from 1 to 6.

Before listening: be able to catch the key words and underline them.

Check their answers.

目的及依据:告诉学生某地有一个珍宝箱,如何才能找到它呢?要求他们运用刚学的知识,先读懂书上的听力题目材料,然后根据听力内容,正确排序。

Step 5. Listening

Listen to the tape again and draw the route on the map.

If possible, let them listen sentence by sentence.

Fill in the blanks.
