Task 1 Have a discussion

1. Warm up by asking students questions:

When’s your birthday?

Do you want to have a birthday party? Why?

What do you need to think about if you are going to have a birthday party?

2. Enable students to have a further discussion from the following aspects:

When shall I have the party?

What food shall I prepare and what will we do at the party?

Who shall I invite to the party?

How shall I invite my friends to the party?

Then write down some key words on the blackboard and draw out today’s topic.
