Step1. Greeting.
T: Good morning everyone! Welcome to our English class.
S: Good morning teacher.
T: Do you like our school? Do you like our wonderful life?
Ss: Yes we do.
Step2. warming-up.
Show some pictures on PPT and let students discuss with their partner.
What about our life in the past?
What about our life at present?
Students look at each picture and describe each picture.
Picture one: We studied in a small classroom without computers.
Picture two: We study in a big classroom with computers in it.
Picture three: People lived in simple houses.
Picture four: People live in modern flats in high buildings.
Picture five: They travelled on foot.by bike or by boat.
Picture six: We travel by car, by train, by air and so on.
Step3. Pre- reading.
Show the four sentences about the future and now. Ask them read and tick the boxes.
1. There are hotels on the Moon.
2. Our houses use a lot of energy.
3. Your fridge can order food for you.
4. Most people use hydrogen cars.
Ask students look at the pictures and the headings of the Internet posts(网络帖子) on page 115. Then tick (√) the descriptions that match the pictures.
