Step One Leading in
1.To greet the students and introduce the topic.
2. To ask questions: (students listen and answer)
Have you ever heard of this song?
Do you want to know what our life will be like in the future?
Then write down the topic: Life in the future
Aim: To lead in the new lesson.
Step Two Preclass Test
1. To show some words and phrases , let the students translate English into Chinese.(Students try their best to finish the tasks on the piece of paper as fast as possible.)
To choose the correct meanings of the underlined words.
Aim: To consolidate the students’ vocabularies.
2. To look at the pictures and headings of the Internet posts. Then tick (√) the descriptions that match the pictures.
1) The hotel looks like a very large fish. □
2) The hotel is built on a mountain. □
3) There is a robot helper in the house. □
4) The CJ3 has a wide window at the front. □
5) The CJ3 does not have any wheels. □
Aim: To help the students predict the contents of the passages.
Step Three Classroom Inquiry
1. To let the students listen and read the passages.
2. Give the guidance of learning method to the students.
3. To give the students some minutes to discuss the passages in groups.
4. To encourage the students to finish the tasks, which include Yes or No questions and WH-questions.
