二、学情分析
学生在本单元前两课已经接触到了一些使用一般将来时的句子。本课将在此基础上,以自制视频为载体,让学生学习一般将来时的两种表达方式。之后利用即将到来的春节,让学生进行一般将来时的练习。学生在初一上学期已经学习过春节的相关话题,对相关表达比较熟悉。此外,初一是学生学习英语的启蒙阶段,所选话题贴近学生的生活,加入多种形式的课堂练习和评比,能够激发学生学习英语的兴趣。
三、教学重点
1. 词汇:shall, fire
2. 词组:the day after tomorrow, make a fire
3. 知识:用正确的表达方式谈论将来的计划和打算。
四、教学步骤
Step Ⅰ Lead in
1. Greeting.
T: Good morning, boys and girls. When we talk about future, we are always excited, right? Because in the future everything is possible! But how can we talk about our plans for the future in English? We can use the simple future tense.
目的:通过谈论将来,引出一般将来时的概念,贴近学生生活,容易引起学生的兴趣。
2. Show a video about the simple future tense, ask students to find out two structures we can use to talk about future.
T: Today I invite two friends, Judy and Nick, to show us the use of the simple future tense. Please listen to their conversation and try to find out two ways to talk about future.
引出话题后,播放自制动画视频。要求学生从视频中找出一般将来时的两种结构,引出本课的主要教学内容:用will/shall和be going to表示将来。
3. List two sentences used in the video for each structure and help students sum up how to use them.
T: Here are two sentences from their conversation. We can use shall to talk about things that are sure to happen.
But you should notice that when the subject is I or we, we can use shall or will, otherwise we can only use will.
We can also use will or shall to talk about plans that we are making now.
We can use be going to to talk about things we decide to do and things that will probably happen.
目的:分别列出视频中出现的两个例句让学生通过观察讨论,总结出will/shall和be going to的使用情境:will/shall用于谈论将来一定会发生的事和现在制定的将来的计划;be going to用于谈论决定要做的事和将来可能会发生的事。同时提醒学生,只有主语是第一人称时,才可以使用shall。be动词的形式需要随着主语变化。
4. Sum up how to use will/shall and be going to in different situations on the screen.
Step Ⅱ Presentation
1. Use will/shall and be going to to talk about the teacher's plan for the Spring Festival.
T: Now we can talk about plans for the future. The Spring Festival is coming. Do you have any plans? I’d like to share my plan with you first. Please help me translate it into English.
2. Ask students choose will/shall or be going to to translate the teacher's plan for the Spring Festival sentence by sentence. Teach students how to make negative sentences and how to change there be in the simple future tense.
T: Look at the first sentence. Which should we choose, will or be going to? Yes, we should use will because this is a fact. Then how to say “我将不上班”? We can add not after will to form a negative sentence. And for be going to, we should add not after be. Who would like to translate it? Good job. This sentence should be The Spring Festival will be in the February and I will not work.
目的:在学习了will/shall和be going to的用法后,引出春节计划这一话题。通过提问学生,逐句翻译教师的春节计划,让学生练习用will/shall和be going to表达将来,强调在不同的情况下需要选用不同的表达方式。此外,在这个过程中学习否定句的构成方法。强调there be句型在一般将来时中的特殊变化。
3. Show a video about red packets, discuss what we are going to do for our parents during the Spring Festival. Encourage students to make a paper red packet or spend more time staying with their parents.
