Step 1 Lead-in
Memory game.
T: Some exchange students are visiting Sunshine Town. Neil is one of them. He took some photos duringg the visit. Now I’ll show them to you only once. Can you remember what’s in the photos? Are you ready? Let’s go.
T: What are they doing in the photos? And where are they?
T: Well done. You have a good memory. The exchange students have visited some places. But they are still thinking, “What place in Beijing can’t we miss?”
S: The Palace Museum.
Step 2 Before-listening
1. Watch a video.
Show the picture of the Palace Museum and play a video with pictures of palaces in it.
2. Have a competition.
T: How much do you know about the Palace Museum? You will be divided into two groups and have a competition. Let’s see which group knows more about it.
