III. The analysis of?the students’ ?learning?situation?
本节课为同校借班上课,本校是典型的农村初中,上课班级的学生英语学习基础欠佳,进入初一下学期以来,由于学习内容难度增加,学生的英语学习积极性进一步衰退。本课是阅读课的第一课时,近年来,我市中考英语的阅读试题难度提升,更注重学生的阅读素养和思维品质的培养,课堂阅读教学也相应地发生了变化,要求学生能进行深层次的阅读思考,所以课堂教学中更多关注学生的思维生成。本课生词众多,既有单词表中生词,也有文中新出现的动词过去式,因此上课前利用导学提纲让学生读熟单词和过去式,并将预习时遇到的困惑写下,这样教师在上课时就可以有选择地进行单词教学。本课的教学重点既关注知识的传授,也注意阅读方法的指导和阅读思维的形成。

Enjoy and answer
Ask the students Do you like amazing things? Then say Let’s an amazing film, but after watching it, please answer two questions. Get them to read the two questions(1.Who did the boy see in the film? 2. How did the boy feel?)together and after that show them a short video adapted from the film Coco. Ask two students to answer the questions.
Step 2 Free talk
Ask the students Are you afraid of ghosts? Are there any ghosts in the world? After the students give their answers, ask Do you want to listen to a modern story? Help them to answer Yes.
Step 3 Listen and answer
Play the tape of Paragraph 1 of the story and get the students to listen to beginning of story and answer two questions Where and when did the story happen? Who did the story happen to?
【设计意图】教师通过播放 《寻梦环游记》中男主人公第一次看到逝去的祖先这一片段导入,引入“ghost”和“afraid”这两个本课内容的主题词,既导入课文又激发学生学习英语的积极性。学生在观看影片时同时能体会“afraid”、“surprised”这两种情绪,使学生能在接下来的阅读文章中切身感受到Millie和Amy两个人的情绪变化。听录音回答问题既是为了练习让学生迅速从听力材料中获取有效信息的能力,也为了能自然衔接到skimming的教学。这一部分是为了接下来的新课教学做好铺垫,为Pre-reading 部分。
