Step1. Lead in and Warm-up

1.?预习情况交流,讨论预习中遇到的问题。

2.?根据unit1导入到学生居住和邻居状况,进行交流。

??(In unit1, we have knows different homes around the world. And now, I want to know where you live. So, some questions: Where do you live? What’s near your home? Who live next to you? What’s your?neighbour?)

3.?复习职业名词和建筑名词,完成P19 part A.

Step2. Presentation

1.?播放录音,让学生跟读录音并回答问题:

◆What is Hobo going to do ?

◆Does Eddie want to meet new neighbours?

◆Why don’t neighbours welcome Eddie in Hobo’s opinion?2.?将全班分成两大组进行朗读训练。

3.?组织学生两人一组模仿B部分,根据自己的实际情况编对话。

(Work in pairs and make up your own conversation about you?neighbourhood.)

Step3. Listening

听录音回答问题

(Listen to the tape, answer my question.)

◆Where does Simon live?

◆How many buildings are there in his?neighbourhood?

◆What do they have around their?neighbourhood?

◆Does Simon like living there ?

Step4. Role-play

1.?安排学生两人一组准备表演,注意语音语调和动作神态。

2.?安排学生四人一组讨论:

What can you do for your?neighbour?

启发学生思考如何为他人服务,培养他们的责任感。

Step5. Language points:

1. I’m going to visit our new neighbours.

I’ll meet them, too.

be going to do sth. 和 will do sth. 都是一般将来时态的动词结构。前者的be动词需要依据句子主语的人称或单复数来确定am, is或are, 而后者的will则不需要变化。

e.g.:

Students are going to go for a school trip next Sunday.
