Step2. Lead students to make a conclusion about the past continuous tense.
①when we talk about things that were happening at a particular time in the past, we use the past continuous tense.
②Lead students to make a conclusion about how to make positive sentences of the past continuous tense
Step3. Play a guessing game. Show some pictures with part of them covered and ask the students to guess what he/she was doing. Let the students practice using “ Was he doing……?/ Yes, she was. / No, she wasn’t doing ……”
