由于学生已学过Reading第一课时,对于本部分的生词、短语已能够认识并掌握。只是对于相关句型不熟悉,所以对于文章的详细信息掌握的不是很好。本节课通过相关的头脑风暴引导学生进行思考“如何才能更好地保护鸟类”,使其真正理解保护鸟类的意义,达到环保观念深入人心的目的。

五.教学步骤

Step 1 呈现

1、教师说:We’ve learnt about Zhalong Nature Reserve. Now would you like to watch a short video of Zhalong? 给学生播放一段有关扎龙的英文短文,让学生对扎龙有更直观的认识。教师继续说:Please watch it and then answer a few simple questions about Zhalong. 教师利用投影仪或课件显示一些问题,让学生逐段回顾有关扎龙的基本信息:

1Where is Zhalong Nature Reserve?

2.How much do you know about Zhalong ?

3.How long do birds live in Zhalong ?

4.What can you do in the daytime ?

5.What problems do the birds have to face ?

6.How does the Chinese government deal with them ?

7.How often do the Birdwatching Society go to study the birds in Zhalong ?

8.What do the members usually do ?

9.Why do the members of the society need more people ?

10.What can this help people do ?

2、教师说:Let’s take q auick look at the article on page 70. In which paragraphs can you find the answers to these questions? 让学生找出上述问题出自课文哪一段。

(1—paragraph 1; 2—paragraph 5; 3—paragraph 3; 4—paragraph 2)

3、教师说:Can you tell us the main idea of each paragraph? 让学生归纳每一段的大意,在基础较弱的班级,教师可以让学生参考课本第71页B2部分。

Step 2 操练

1、在学生归纳每一段大意的时候,教师通过和学生回顾各段内容,引出需要讲解的语言点并板书:provice…for…, cover, while, in order to…, lead to…, record等。

2、通过创设情境、与学生真实交流和展示例句等方式,帮助学生掌握上述语言点的用法。以provide…for…和cover为例,教师说:Zhalong provides food and cover for a lot of wildlife. That means wildlife can find food to eat and space to live. What food do birds eat? Where do they live? Zhalong provides them with fish and wetlands. 在与学生的交流中,帮助学生体会并发现这些语言点的含义及用法。

3、鼓励学生对不懂的内容提问,针对学生的提问,教师解答并帮助他们扫清障碍。

4、教师提供一些练习,帮助学生巩固重点词组。

(1)How many __________ (自然保护区) for birds are there in China? (Nature reserves)

(2)China is __________ (最重要的市场之一) for cars. (one of the most important markets)

(3)The forest __________ (提供食物和庇护所) for wild animals. (Provides food and cover)

(4)The weather in Hainan Province is quite warm __________ (一年到头).(all year round)

(5)People count the birds to ____________ (记录它们数目的变化). (record changes in their numbers)

(6)More and more people are beginning to understand ______ (湿地的重要性). (the importance of wetlands)

5、教师提供一些句子翻译练习,帮助学生掌握重点句型。

(1)卧龙自然保护区为大熊猫提供了一个重要的生存区域。(Wolong Nature Reserve provides an important living area for giant pandas.)
