Step 1 Lead-in
Enjoy a video
Enjoy a musical and ask the students what words can be heard in the song. (sunny, rainy, snowy, cloudy, windy)
T: We can use these words to describe weather.
Step 2 Presentation
1. Complete the sentences
Enjoy some pictures of different weather conditions and fill in the blanks with the correct words accordingly.
What’s the weather like?
The sun is shining brightly. It’s sunny.
There are many clouds in the sky. It’s cloudy.
The wind blows hard. It’s windy.
What a heavy rain it is! It’s rainy.
The ground is all white because of the snow. It’s snowy.
We can’t see things clearly in the thick fog. It’s foggy.
2. Matching
T: Here are the new words that we just learnt. Who can read these words? OK. The other students read after him please.
