Teaching procedures:
Step 1 Warm up
1.Show the pictures of Taizhou in different seasons.
2.Encourage students to talk about their favorite seasons as well as the reasons.
(设计意图:呈现泰州一年四季的风景图片,引导学生谈谈自己最喜爱的季节及理由,从而引出下面诗歌的学习: What are four seasons like in a poet’s eyes?,激发学生学习的兴趣。)
Step 2 Presentation
1. Have students listen to the poem with eyes closed.
2. Let students watch the video of the poem and learn to read some new words with the help of pictures.
(设计意图:学生通过听、看初步感受诗歌的美,同时学习本课生词。)
Step3: While-reading
1. Have students read the poem loudly sentence by sentence after the tape.
2. Let students find out the rhyming words in the poem and chant together with rhythm.
(设计意图:让学生大声朗读,引导学生感受诗歌中优美的韵律,找出韵脚,享受审美情趣,提高审美能力。)
Step4: Further-reading
Have students read the poem stanza by stanza and analyze the beautiful language through answering different questions.
(设计意图:带领学生分步阅读小诗中的每个段落,通过设置问题启发学生思考,触发联想,引导学生逐步掌握每个段落的细节,体会作者诗歌中传神的用词和诗中所反映的意境,感受诗人写诗时的心情,领悟诗人的意图,达到赏析之目的。)
Step5: Post-reading
1.Students read with emotion together and share their favorite verse lines.
2. Have students try to complete a poem
3. Share students’ works
(设计意图:鼓励学生有感情地朗读诗歌,通过朗读加深对诗歌内容和意境的体会,引导学生自己创作诗歌,启发学生要珍惜时光、热爱生活。)
Step6: Homework
Translate the poem into Chinese.
Read and recite the poem.
