Spring is green. The April showers come suddenly. And butterflies hide from the April showers.

Summer is hot. It’s comfortable to rest under the shade. People can enjoy the beach and the sea. They are sweet memories of summer days.

Autumn is brown. Leaves turn yellow, red and brown. They fall into piles upon the ground. It is also the harvest seasons. Farmers are busy harvesting crops.

Winter is white. Temperature drops. Everything is covered with snow. Everything forgets to grow.

教师播放第82页的录音,学生跟读

2. 听完,让学生分辨这首小诗四段分别描述什么。

Step 2 同学们分段朗读并且用一个词概括每个季节,并且用一句话来支持这个词。

For example, winter is white. Everything is covered with snow.

Step 3 有感情的朗诵这首诗歌,并推荐同学朗读,找出班级最美声音。

We enjoy the poem very much, because it is very beautiful. Can you find the words or sentences that make the poem beautiful. We have found the rhyme words.

感受诗歌中使用的拟人手法

鼓励他们踊跃表达自己的观点:

Read the poem again, and then discuss and find the sentences in which the writer uses personification.

教师解释personification的含义,并引导学生通过以下诗句理解这种修辞手法:

(1)Winter: Trees and flowers forget to grow.

(2)Spring: Bees and butterflies play among flowers,

The hide from the April showers.

教师还可以让学生把上述诗句翻译中文来感受拟人手法带来的美感。

四、创作自己的小诗

Create a poem about four seasons or two seasons. Each student in the group can make two sentences about a season. Then the students make a poster about the poem. One of the students presents the poem in front.

Who can be the best writer? Try to use personification and rhyme.

For example:

What is winter like?

It’s lonely.

Because birds fly far away.
