Moral objects:

During the period, teacher will use courseware, images, skills of encouragement and other means to raise students’ interest and motivation, lower their anxiety, build up their confidence to write a short passage. When the period comes to its end, students will be willing to make further try in their homework practice.

Teaching procedures:

Step 1 Warming-up and goal presentation

Greet the students to start the lesson;

Introduce the goal of the lesson.

Aims: to elicit the topic and let the students have a clear mind of the goal of the lesson.

Step 2 Word revision

Show the students some pictures, and ask them to stand up and say the words shown on the pictures one by one.

Work on Self check 1.

Put the words you learned in different groups.

Check the answers.

Aims: to rouse the students’ interest and review the basic food words.

Step 3 Group work

Wok on 3b.

1. Imagine you have a special restaurant, write the foods and prices.

2. Ss work by themselves and try to write the foods and prices.

3. Let some Ss read out their sentences.

Aims: to stimulate the students’ imagination and prepare them for writing functional structure.
