1).What’s the weather like?( It’s raining)
2).What was Hobo doing when it started to rain? ( He was sleeping)
3).What did Hobo see when he woke up?
(When he woke up, he saw water everywhere.)
4). What does Hobo need Eddie to do?(He needs Eddie to mop up the water.)
Ss listen to and read the comic, then they answer the teacher’s questions.
3. Act out
Let the Ss act out the comic with their partners, then choose one or two groups to act.
Ss will act out the comic.
4. Presentation
1. Lead up to other natural disasters from what happened to Hobo. Show pictures of floods, earthquakes, typhoons, tsunamis.. 2. Make the Ss have a clear understanding of natural disasters and accidents
Ss will watch the pictures, learn the names of some natural disasters and understand the difference between natural disasters and accidents. This will enable them to do the exercise on Page93 correctly.
5. Listening
Ask the Ss to listen to the Part B dialogue on Page93 and answer some questions related to it.
Ss will listen and answer.
6. Emulate
Then give them a table about a flood and make them make a similar dialogue.
Remember the key information of the dialogue then make a similar dialogue using given information with their partners.
7. Tips
Give the Ss some tips to deal with different dangerous situations.
Remember the advice in case one is in danger.

Assign the homework
Finish the homework after class.
