Show some pictures to the Ss.
Ask: What’s the weather like in Picture1/Picture2……?
(It’s cloudy /foggy/rainy/snowy/windy……)
Step2 Presentation
Say: Hobo has some trouble. What happened to him?
Let’s listen to the tape.
Ask several questions:
What’s the weather like?
(It’s raining)
What was Hobo doing when it started to rain?
(He was sleeping)
What did Hobo see when he woke up?
(He saw water everywhere)
Why doesn’t he want to go home alone?
(He needs Eddie to mop up the water)
Play the tape for the Ss to read.
Step3.Act
Get Ss to read the dialogue.
Try to act out the dialogue.
Step4.Ask:
What was the weather like when Hobo was sleeping.
