BrainstormHelp students talk about the earthquake.
First, let the Ss talk about the earthquake freely. Then, give them some help to talk about the earthquake. Create the atmosphere of the theme. Students will know some more knowledge about the earthquake. And prepare for the coming reading.
Step 3
Fast readingAfter enough discussion, guide Ss to the reading. Let them watch a video about the reading and get the main idea . Then, ask three questions.Make Ss understand the main idea after watching a video about the reading. Then answer three questions. Try to get the main idea through the video.
The students can be given chances to answer three questions and check how much they get from the reading.

Careful readingGuide the Ss to read the article paragraph by paragraph. Meanwhile, ask the to finish different tasks.Ss will know the Taiwan earthquake by finishing different tasks.
