Step Ⅰ Lead-in.

1. Ask students to watch a video about the 2016 Rio Olympics Opening Ceremony. Ask them to think about the following two questions.

★ What’s the video about?

★ Where did it take place?

2. Show students two photos and teach them the new words, “Brazil” and “Brazils”.

Comparing the amount of two things

Step Ⅱ Let’s learn to compare the amount of two things.

Ask some students to pick out a present from a group of two brought from Brazil by the teacher. Try to compare the each group of two presents and answer the following questions.

★ Which present has more mangoes?

★ Which present has fewer mangoes?
