Purpose

Step Ⅰ Lead-in. (5’)

1. Free talk.

Show students a video which is taken by myself about the DIY work of my daughter. Have a free talk about the question,

“What DIY food did you make before?”

2. Teaching new words.

Ask students to look at the fruit in the bowls on their desks and talk about the fruit that they like to use to make a fruit salad. Teach the new words in the following free-talk.

“You can use the small spoons to have a taste.”

“My favorite fruit is strawberries, but I can’t buy them easily in the market, because they are not in season.”

Step Ⅱ Listening for the materials of making a fruit salad. (5’)

1. Pre-listening for the materials.

Ask students to predict the answers for A1 through thinking about the following questions.
