Ⅳ Teaching Procedures
Step One Before reading
Before this lesson, let’s watch a part of a film about an old story.(设计思路:读前,让学生通过观看故事开头,激发学生对此故事的求读欲。)
Step Two Lead in
Asking the following questions to lead in this article.
1.Do you know who Aladdin is?
2.What dou you think this story will be about?
3.Do you think this story will have a happy ending?(设计思路:通过问题逐步深入,一点点激发学生对于这个故事的想象力)
Step Three Pleasant Reading
Divide this article into four parts according to the plots of story.(设计思路:根据故事发展情节,体现导读功能)
1.Read the first part( para.1-9) silently, then answer questions in pairs.
(1)How many people were there in Aladdin’s home? Who were they?
(2)Was Aladdin a lazy boy?
(3)Where did his “uncle” come from?
(4)Where did his “uncle” take him to?
(5)What did the man say to Aladdin?(设计思路:默读让学生沉入故事,问题让学生搜索关键信息,问答让学生学会合作。)
2.Listen to the tape about the second part(para.10-15),then tell us how to get the lamp.
(1)Present seven key steps of getting the lamp unorderedly on the screen, then ask students to put them in correct places according to what “uncle” said.(设计思路:培养学生从听力材料中获得关键信息)。
(2)Ask the following questions:
Why couldn’t the man get the lamp by himself?(Ask students to guess)(设计思路:激发学生想象力)
What was Aladdin like through his question? (设计思路:引导学生从人物语言上分析人物性格)
3.Read aloud the third part(para.16-23),then try to act out the argument between Aladdin and his uncle.
Teacher says: Aladdin found the lamp finally, but he didn’t give it to the man until he was out of her. So they argued with each other angrily. Can you act it out? You should pay attention to your pronunciation、tone、emotion and action.(Each group of three students, one is Aladdin, one is magician, another is voice-over.)(设计思路:让故事戏剧化,鼓励学生参与,真实体验人物心情,亲身感悟英语语言魅力)。
4.Watch a video about the fourth part(para.24—33),then do “T” or “F” exercises.
(1) Aladdin’s mother cleaned the lamp before selling it.(T)
(2) Aladdin’s mother asked the gold for the genie of the lamp.(F)
(3) Aladdin and his mother had the most money in the town. They had a happy life.(T)
