1. Skimming
T: Skim the whole passage and see where you can find the answers to when, who, where, how and what.
T: Let’s divide the passage into three parts according to the answers.
T: Pay attention to the structure of the passage.
2. Scanning
Read Paragraphs 2-6 to find the activities and Finish B2 at P24
3. The use of “transitions”
T: How did the writer connect the ideas? The writer puts the events in the order of space, time or logic?
T: “Transitions” between paragraphs show time order, and they help connect the ideas. With the help of them, it’s easier for us to understand the story.
4. Careful reading
Read the passage carefully, and find the detailed information.
(1) Paragraph 2: What is the Space Mountain? Listen and finish task4 on the paper.
(2) Paragraph 3-4: Where did they go next? Please read P3-4 and do true or false exercise on task5
(3) Paragraph 5-6: How did the castle look like under the firework?
Retell the story
