Step1.Lead-in.
Show some pictures places of interest about the UK. Such as:
Buckingham Palace the British Museum
the Lake District
Task: What is it? What country is it ?(Learn some new words in Task)
Step2 Presentation.
1.T: The UK is a very beautiful country. If you want to learn more about this country ,turn to page 46 and look at Amy's chart.
2.Let students look at the chart and say: If you want to introduce a country ,what can you talk about?
3.Ss:We can talk about its location, capital ,history ,
4.places of interest, the best time to visit ,weather, money and so on. We can also talk its culture ,festivals, people ,famous universities and food.
Step3 Reading.
1.T: Amy has written an introduction to the UK. Read her article and tell the main idea of each paragraph.
