本课教学采用“以学生为中心”的教学模式,坚持以学生为主的教学原则,所设计的课堂任务全是围绕学生,给学生思考的时间,活动的空间,让他们自己去体验,发现,归纳,总结,让学生自始至终参与到知识形成的全过程中,从而感受成功的喜悦。

Step One Revision
Review the famous places in New York by a guiding game.
Step Two Presentation
1. When the students say something about the famous places, present the important language points to the students, such as: at the top of, in the centre of, a hard day’s work, be famous for, hear of, at the bottom of and so on.
2. Create the true context for students to learn the language points. Give them some more examples to understand and grasp how to use these language points.
3. Encourage students to work in groups to solve their problems. If necessary, the teacher explains the difficulties to them.
