1. Show a video about New York (NYC)
T: Where is New York? What do you think of it ? Modern,big,beautiful…
T: What attractions will you show the visitors around? You can show them around Wall Street, Times Square, Central Park and Broadway.

2. Visiting Wall Street
T: First, we’ll go to Wall Street. Here we can experience the world-famous trade centre. It is at the southern end of Manhattan Island.
Where is Inner Mongolia? It is in the northern part of China. Where is Yunnan? It is in the southern part of China. It is also at the bottom of a China map. Where is Xinjiang? It is in the north-west of China.
T: Wall Street is famous for the international banks. In the word “international”, “nation” means “country”; the prefix “inter” means “among”; the suffix “al” means “of”. The same to the word:southern.
Brainstorming: Words with prefixes; words with suffixes.
Exercise: Complete the sentences with the correct forms of the words in the brackets.
