Step1 Lead-in

1). Show some pictures from The Arabian Nights. Ask students if they know these stories.

T: Do you know these stories? Which book are these stories from?

2).Ask students to introduce the book The Arabian Nights.

T: The story we will learn today is also from this book.

Step 2 General understanding

Task 1 Show three pictures from The Fisherman and the Genie, ask students to say them (fisherman/genie/jar).And Tell the students to say the relationship among them.

Task 2 Ask students to find the key information and fill in the table according to the story.

Ask students to answer two questions (read and answer).
