Step 1. Leading in
T: What's the song about?
S: Good manners.
T: You are old enough to learn about manners. Look at the red words in this sentence.
We use:
be + adj. + enough + to do (板书)
I think I’m polite enough to teach you good manners.
Step 2. Practice
T: Let's learn about manners from these dogs.
Show students some pictures about dogs and present the following sentences:
The dog is brave enough to save the baby from the river.
The dog is kind enough to take care of the little cat.
The dogs are hardworking enough to pull the cart.
The dog is helpful enough to carry things for people.
Step 3. Work out the rule
We often use “be + adj. + enough + to do” to talk about a person’s qualities and abilities.
