Teaching procedures:

Lead in: Show some pictures to ask students what is the country.(to arouse students interest in today’s topic.)

Pre-writing: 1) Show a passage about traveling and ask students some questions.(let students know what to write in the passage.)

Where: talk about some places and some verb phrases.

Who: talk about the people you may go with.

What: some words and phrases to connect the things.

How: how do you feel and how is the scenery. Brainstorm: to think of as many adjectives to describe the feelings.

2) Retell the passage by using the answers of questions.(students can learn to put the key points into an article.

3 While-writing: 1) let’s write together. (Write together and let students to pay attention to some writing skills through some questions.

2) Let’s write: write a passage on the given title.

4. Post-writing:1) some students present their articles.

2) Pair work: share the passage each other and correct it.

5. A question: why do we write a passage to record our experiences. (Student can think deeply)

Show a short video to make students cherish the present moment.

Teaching reflection:

This class is about writing and the main content is traveling. Based on the students’ experiences to teach the key points and writing skills, students can have a better understanding of this lesson. Meanwhile, through brainstorm, pair work and individual work, students can fully take part in the class activities.
