四、教学过程
Step 1 Warm up and lead in
Lead students to watch the video about the teacher to build up a good relationship between the teacher and the students.
Introduce the buildings around the school to review the names of some buildings.
Step 2 Presentation
Describe the position of the school to practice the usage of orientational prepositions and learn the new phrase “across from”.
Learn the new word “block”.
Find the way from the train station and the airport to the school and the gym to practice the key expressions.
Step 3 Listening
Predict what happened to Susan.
Listen and grasp the main idea of the dialogue.
Listen and draw Susan’s route on the map and circle the correct building she is going to.
Listen and get more details by doing True or False exercises.
Step 4 Speaking
Watch the video, answer the question: Where are they going?
