3、重点难点
本课教学内容是牛津教材8B Chapter 6，是一篇关于水的科普性短文。文章较长，且有一定难度，无法在30分钟时间内完成对整篇文章的教学，所以我选择文章中介绍水流程的一段。原因是：1）这部分相对独立，意思完整；2）这部分是课文学习的教学重点；3）这部分包含了本课的重点词汇。本课作为第一教时，我希望能突破教学的重点和难点，为后面的教学打好基础，消除障碍。

通过问题--“What does the sound make you think of?”,导入主题，活跃气氛，同时检测学生已有知识。
创设情景，明确师生角色。教师作为一滴水和学生展开对话。启发学生发问，激发学生的求知欲望，真正体现了学生的学习主体性。以解决问题为主线开展教学是这节课的主要特点。这节课的教学围绕三个主要问题展开：1）Where are you (water)? 2）What do you(water) do there? 3）How do you (water) come here?

You can see me in the cloud. And I am floating comfortably in the sky. Can you guess the Chinese float?
You can see me in the waterfall. What is waterfall? I am speeding down the mountain into the river. That is waterfall. Speed here is a verb, means move quickly. Speed –sped –sped.
