T: Recently we’ve read an interview named When in Rome. Let’s answer some questions and review what British people do.

How do people greet for the first time?

How do people start a conversation?

Do they greet people with a kiss?

Do they always queue in public?

How do people behave politely in public?

Are they polite all the time at home?

1. Greetings

T: Now we’ll talk about the four situations one by one.

First let’s look at the two pictures, please. They are greeting each other. Can you say something about them? Discuss from four points.

T: Good. The British greet strangers, their relatives and friends in a proper way.
