Step 1 Revision
Look at some comics and review some short phrases in this unit. (To let the students review some behaviors in public)
Step 2 Presentation
1. Lead-in —— A comic

(To let the students get interested)
2. Look at the pictures of some public signs, can you tell me what they mean.
(To get familiar with some common public signs, and learn some new words or useful expressions)
3. Before listening
Open your books to page 72, then do the prediction before listening.
4. While listening
(1) Listen to the tape and fill in the blanks. Play the tape again if necessary. Put the information into the sentences and get the students to read the sentences loudly.
Try to make the phrases into sentences.
(2) Listen to the second part of the conversation, and find out the missing words.
(Tell the students some information to make it easier. Eg: in places like …)
Step 3 Practice
1. Finish part A3 with the information we have got.
First let them check the answers in pairs. Then get several students to read out the passage loudly and check the answers together. And then go through the passage to find some important sentence patterns that we can use in our writings.
