Step I Lead-in
First,ask students to watch a video about Helen Keller and ask:Who are they? What are they doing?
Step II Pre-reading
Ask the students to read the text after the tape. They may check their answer to Have a discussion: How much do you know about Helen Keller? Here present some new words which will appear in the passage.
Listen to the record of the passage for the first time. Conclude the main idea.

3.Careful reading: read and finish the mind-map:

1. Retell the story with the mindmap.
2.Choose one topic to discuss in groups:
