本课在新单词教学部分组织了一个看图联想单词的活动，避免了单调枯燥的单词记忆，设计了恰当的语境，有效激发了学生的想象力。
在分段阅读时，充分运用了多种方式，两人小组问答，四人小组拼图游戏和自己设计判断正误的练习，这些尝试尽力培养了讨论式参与式课堂氛围。
不足之处：个别基础较差的同学稍微跟不上,小组活动可以组织得更有条理一些。最后一个环节可以再修改。
