According to the last translated sentence, tell students that today we will discuss something about how to go green.

Teach some new words which we will use in today’s class.

Ask students to think about two questions before learning today’s lesson. “How can we live a green life?”. “What can we do to protect the environment in our daily life?”

Tell students: Protecting the environment is very important. We can help protect the environment by doing some simple things. Show some pictures about how to go green, and ask students to speak out what each picture represents.

Step 3 听力

Ask students to read the Part A1, and prepare to listen the dialogue.

Tell students: The Class 1, Grade 8 students want to do a survey on their daily habits. Let’s listen to the conversation and finish the table in Part A1.

Play the record twice and check the answers.

Daniel and Sandy are talking about the results of the survey. Play the Part A2 twice and check the answers.

(5) Ask students to using the whole sentences to describe Part A2.

e.g. 1. Thirty-five students turn off the tap when they brush their teeth.

2.Twenty students take showers for less than ten minutes.

3.Forty students use both sides of the paper.

4.Fifteen students recycle empty bottles.

5.Forty-one students turn off the lights when they leave a room.

6.Nine students take their own bags to the supermarket.

(6) Ask students to finish Part A3 using the information in Part A1 and A2.

(7) Check the answers and ask students to read it.

(3) Play the record and ask students to answers the three questions.

(4) Play the record again and ask students to tell the three advantages of planting more trees.

1.Trees make our town look nicer.

2.Trees reduce dust and help keep the air clean,

3.Trees help keep soil in place during storms.
