1. Know something about the World Environment Day

T: When is the World Environment Day? Yes, it’s on June,5. It was set up in 1972 because our environment is changing for the worse.

2. What can you do in your daily lives to protect the environment?

Step 2: Pre-listening:

1.T makes a simple survey: What have you done for the environment?

2. Part A1:

T: World Environment Day is coming. Sandy and Daniel want to do a survey on how to go green in Class 1, Grade 8. Look at the table. They are the first things for them to decide.

(1) What is the survey about?

(2) When and where is it going to be carried out?

(3) How many girls and boys are going to take part in it?

(4) What time should Sandy and Daniel arrive there?

T: Let’s listen to their conversation and find out the basic information about the survey.
