Step1 Enjoy the power of colours (lead-in)
Before the class, I will play a video about a colourful island in Venice and some colourful pictures about our nature .Then I ask them to tell me their favourite colours.
(2)I wil show them two videos ,one shows them something interesting between the color and science while the other shows them something interesting between the colours and animals
What about colours and moods?We will discover the power of colours.
Step2 Discover the power of colours (pre-listening)
(1)I will connect each part by the main line : I will come to my best friend’s birthday party, I want them to help me to choose the colours of my clothes.
(2) I will show them some beautiful pictures to lead them to know some knowledge about colours and moods. So they can know calm colours, warm colours, energetic colours and strong colours.
(3)I will let them to play a guessing game “who is he?” then I lead them to the theme: Colour therapy. And teach them some of the new words.
(4)I will ask the students what they think what colour therapist is.Colour therapy is a way to use colours to change people’s moods and improve their lives.Then I will teach the students the other new words by introducing Mrs Rainbow.
(5)I will let the students know more about Mrs Rainbow’s colour therapy by reading the advertisement.I will explain to them that this part on the paper is an advertisement.
Tell the students must use the information in the advertisement to complete Millie’s notes. Then check the answer.
Step3 Discover the power of colours (While-listening)
(1)I will let the students listen to the interview with Mrs Rainbow carefully and complete the rest blanks in Part A1.Then ask the students to check the answer.
(2)Activity :“When you....What colour do you want to choose?”Show the students different colourful clothes and let the students understand the knowledge of colours and moods better.
(3)Let the students listen to Suzy’s questions.
And circle the corret letters.
