The three aims are involved in the whole class.
Teaching important points:
Let the Ss know about Daniel’s ideal school by listening and reading.
2. Let the Ss express themselves by speaking in groups.
3. Let the Ss know how to write about their ideal school.
Teaching difficult points:
1. How to develop Ss’ abilities to listen, read, speak and write.
2. How to cultivate Ss’ ability to select useful information in their writing.
F.Teaching Methods:
1. Task-based teaching method
2. Interactive teaching method
G.Teaching procedures:
Step one. Warming up.
Lead in.
Before class, ask students to watch a short video about their school life.
(I design this part with the aim of arousing Ss’ interest in learning the lesson and leading in school life.)
Ask and answer about students’ school life.
What time does your school start/ finish?
How long is your lunchtime? What do you do at lunchtime?
What facilities does your school have?
What sports do you do at school?
What after-activities do you have?
Ask students to ask and answer the questions on books in pairs.
(I want to help the Ss think about their school life and help Ss in their writing.)
A debate: Your likes and dislikes
Side A: I like … because…
Side B: I don’t like… Because…
(Ask students to think about their likes and dislikes about their school life. This is helpful to them when they are writing about their ideal school.)
Step two. Making a timetable.
Show students a timetable on Monday. Ask some questions to help students to understand.
