2. An important conjunction
If和whether的用法辨析:
(1) 都有“是否”之意,常可互换。
(2) whether 可与or not连用表示“是还是不是”,if不可这样用。
(3) 后接动词不定式时用whether而不用if。
注意:if意为“如果”时 不可与whether互换。
