Step1: Comic strip and lead in
Our friend Eddie is facing a problem these days.
1. Look at the picture and guess what problem Eddie has
2. Watch the video and find the true answer
3. Read and imitate the dialogue after the video and pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation
4. Read and answer more
1) What is Hobo’s advice?
2) Why does Hobo tell Eddie not to eat too much?
3) If you were Hobo, could you give Eddie some more advice?
5. Read in pairs and act it out!
Give the students some time to practice the dialogue with their partners and then ask some groups to come to the front to perform.
