Show a picture .Jack ,he is fat .His classmates often laugh at him .
He has poor eyesight .He really feels bad about it .
As a teenager, you may have many teenage problems .
Step 2 Presentation
1. Some students in Class 1, Grade 9 have problems. Look at the pictures. What problems do they have? Complete the sentences with the words in the box.
friends, homework, marks, noise, parents, sleep
Keys: I don’t get enough sleep. I feel tired in class.
I don’t have enough time to do my homework.
The TV is always on at my home. The noise almost drives me mad.
I don’t have any close friends. Sometimes I feel lonely.
Sometimes I get low marks in exams. I feel sad.
My parents work all day. They don’t have time for me.
Have one student say one sentence ,then have them read them out aloud .
Do you have a good memory ?
These students have some different problems .Can you help them ?Can you give them some good advice on how to deal with their problems ?Discuss in groups ,and have a try .
