1.What
This unit includes 2 passages talking about Millie’s and Simon’s problems. The topic of the two passages is about “their worries about having little time for their hobbies”. Both of them want to achieve balance between school work and hobbies.
Why
The passages focus on teenage problems and encourage students to analyze the problems find ways to solve their problems. Besides, students should learn how to give suggestions to other people.
How
The authors of the two passages use letters to describe their problems. Letter is a good way for people to express their feelings naturally. The structure of the two passages is “problem-result” pattern. They express their problems first and then the result of their problems.
