Activity One Pre-reading

3. Show pictures about some newspapers, magazines and e-mails that help people solve problems
4. Predict what problems Millie and Simon probably have according to the picture
(By free talk and prediction, the students are attracted to the topic of the article and will be interested in the two letters, which help them set a goal for reading and focus on their thinking.)
Activity Two While-reading
Step One Watch a video and answer the following questions
1. What problems does Millie have? 2. What is Simon’s problem?
(The students are expected to get the main idea of the article by watching a video.)
Step Two Read Millie’s letter and do “T” or “F” questions
(Scan: read the letter quickly and silently to get specific information you need)
