Step 1 Lead-in
1. Enjoy two pictures of growing up. Get students to guess today’s topic.
2. Show a photo of a baby. Tell students it is one of our classmates. Guess who it is. Then show a recent picture of this student.
Step 2 Presentation
Listen to the conversation between Eddie and Hobo and answer the following questions.
Why is Eddie worried?
What does Hobo advise Eddie to do?
What does Eddie want Hobo to do?
Listen again and fill in the blanks.
Eddie has been 1.h______ since Hobo first met him, but today he looks 2.w________. Hobo wants to know what’s on Eddie’s 3.m____, so he asks Eddie, “4.W_________ up?” Eddie says 5.g_________ up is hard and he is growing too 6.b_____ for his house.
