设计理念
以读促写,基于阅读教学实现写作策略方面的研究
设计思路
一、在教学当中,笔者发现很多学生在阅读时仅注重阅读文本本身,获得相关的材料信息,却忽略了文章结构、写作手法等方面的提炼和领悟。译林版牛津英语9A教材(2014版)中,每个单元的Task部分都是为了在学习这个单元后完成相应的写作任务。在平时的教学中,教师也会强调写作的谋篇布局,但是由于大多数写作练习半命题式的局限性,学生很少从标题到文章实现真正的自我发挥,基于这个原因,在本课中,笔者将“写作策略的提炼”作为本节课的重点,并在课堂内进行一定的片段描写。
二、课前笔者做过调查,大多数学生了解的NBA球星大多是近几年的超级巨星,对于上个世纪八九十年代的球星几乎一无所知。因此,如何让学生了解,产生想了解的欲望也是笔者在备课时重点思考的问题之一。而这篇文章的写作方法,从标题到内容都在不断突出 shortest、small这些关键词,与学生预想的NBA球星所形成的鲜明反差能很好地实现这一目标,但需要及时为学生凝练出来。
三、在教学中渗透核心素养和价值观的培养也是目前日常教学中关注的重点,在毕业升学考试的压力下,鼓励学生真正能永不言弃、勇者无惧,也符合目前学生的成长感悟,是一次具有正能量的洗礼。
教学过程
Step 1: Lead in
Ask students some questions and show some pictures to get the students to involved.
1. In your mind, what’s a good basketball player like?
S: Maybe he is…/ Maybe he can …(possible answers: strong/tall; run fast/ jump high)
2. T: Please look at the picture. There is a small player among the big ones. He is the smallest and shortest. If you want to write a story and you want to make it amazing and special? Who would you like to choose to talk about, the shortest one or the big ones?
S: The shortest one.
