Step 3 Learn about Anne Frank (A2)

1. Listening to match the time with questions.

2. Listening: Finish A2

3. A video: People’s opinions about Anne Frank.

Step 4 Learn about the book The Diary of a Young Girl (A1, Para 2)

1. Listening: Try to get the information needed.

2. Thinking: Why is the book popular and important?

Step 5 Information consolidation (A3)

1. Filling in the blanks.

2. Activity: Tell Anne’s story and her diary in groups.

Step 6 Speak Up (B)

1. Listening: What books are they talking about?

2. Finding out what the two books are about by going through the dialogue.

3. Book recommendation.

Step 7 Summary and further thinking

1. Summary: We hope war never happens again.

2. Further thinking: What should we do if we meet trouble when growing up?

Step 8 Homework

1. Read the book The Diary of a Young Girl or other books we recommended.

2. Try to think further and write down what you’ve learned after reading.
