2. To develop the students’ writing skills.
Ⅲ Teaching procedures:
Step1 Pre-writing
Check the homework and do more exercises to consolidate.
Evaluate one of the students’ writing, tell its advantages and disadvantages.
According to the evaluation standards, teach the students to develop sentences with some effective ways.
Guide the students to polish the writing with advanced?vocabulary.
Let the students join?sentences?together?into?a?piece?of?writing with proper conjunctions.
Group work: correct the rest part of the writing.
Step 2 While-writing
创建知识型社会离不开读书。当前,我市上下正开展“好书伴我成长”活动。请你根据活动主题,结合表格中所给信息,以“Growing up with good books”为题,用英语写一篇不少于100词的倡议书,建议大家多读书,读好书。
读书的益处获取知识,增长见识,……存在的现象听音乐,看电视,上网,占用了大部分业余时间发出倡议(至少两点)
Step 3 Post-writing
1.The students finish writing in the given time, then appraise the article in groups. Tell them try to find out the good sentences in the articles.
2. Give the final appraisal.
Step 4 Homework
Rewrite the composition.
