Step Four: Language points

1. because since as for的用法区别

?1) because语气最强,表示直接原因,可用于回答 why 提出的问题(暗示听话人不知道或感兴趣),引导的从句往往比逐句更重要,可放句首或句末(放句末可用逗号可不用)

?-Why didn’t he come?

?-Because he was ill. (用于对话中可单独成句,在写作中不可)

He introduced me because I was new.

since 和 as:

1) 均表示人们已知的事实,重点强调主句的内容,译为“既然”

2) since语气较强,更为正式,一般放句首(也可放句中)

Since you are going, I will go, too.
