1. Question: How does Eddie relax himself in his daily life?

Present a picture, point out that Eddie is holding a remote control, he uses it to choose different channels. Instruct students to say out:

Besides eating and sleeping, Eddie also relaxes himself by watching TV in his daily life.

2. Watch a video and find out what type of TV programmes Eddie likes best. ─Sports

Step3 Presentation (一)

1. Listen to Eddie and Hobo’s dialogue and answer the following questions.

① Is Eddie getting bored with staying at home all day?

② Does Hobo think Eddie is busy? Why?

③ Does Eddie think he is very busy? Why?

2. Read it in pairs and try to act it out.

3. Invite several pairs to act the dialogue out.

Step4 Presentation (二)

1. Watch different videos one by one, recognize what types of TV programmes they are and let students guess whether Eddie likes these types of TV programmes or not. At the same time, write down all the types of TV programmes on the blackboard.

2. Read the words on the blackboard together.

3. Look at the pictures in Part A, match the scenes below with the types of TV programmes and write the correct name under each picture. And then check and read.

4. Listen and guess.

Teacher reads eight sentences. Students listen and guess what types of TV programmes they are according to teacher’s description. They can stand up and say out the answers as quickly as possible.

5. Ask and answer between the teacher and students.

6. Talk about favourite TV programmes.

① Sandy and her friends are talking about their favourite TV programmes on Sunshine TV. Listen to the dialogue in Part B, and try to fill in the table below.
