Teaching steps:
Step1 Lead-in
Guess what TV programme it is and say what kind of TV programme it is by watching or listening to something.
(设计意图:通过看视频或听音频文件,让学生猜测这是什么以及什么类型的电视节目,既激发学生的学习兴趣,又自然地复习了之前所学内容。)
Step2 Pre-listening
1. Look through the imformation of the three students,the teacher asks students what information they can get: What grade is...in? Which club is...in? What does...like doing? Then the teacher shows students the first tip: Know the general idea before listening.
2. Look through the information again .The teacher takes Anita as an example:Anita is in the Art club,so I think she may like programs about art.She also loves playing with her cats at home, so I think she may like programs about animals. The teacher asks students to predict Philip’s and Sam’s favourite programs. Then the teacher shows them the second tip:Predict the answers before listening.

Step3 While-listening
Listen to the record for the first time.
(1)Listen to something about Anita and choose the right answers.
(2)Listen to something about Philip and choose the right answers.
(3)Listen to something about Sam and choose the right answers.
(设计意图:第一遍通过人机对话的模式听,让学生对文本有一个初步的了解,同时也为接下来的写奠定基础。)
Analyze the listening content :What kind of words should be filled ?
Then the teacher shows them the third tip:Predict the parts of speech before listening.
(设计意图:通过对所填词的词性进行分析,提高答题正确率。)
Listen for the second time about the three students and fill in the blanks on Page87.After listening,analyze the answers and then the teacher shows them the fourth tip:Write down the short forms of the answers.
(设计意图:第二遍听,获取更多信息,完成书本内容。)
Listen for the last time and the teacher asks students to repeat after it.Pay attention to the pronunciation and difficult sentences while listening and reading.
(设计意图:第三遍听并且跟读听力原文,注意语音语调以及重点句型。)
Step4 Post-listening
Complete Part A3 according to the listening content.
(设计意图:整合听力所获信息完成报告。)
Do some practice according Part A1 and A2.
The teacher divides students into three groups and each group has their own task:
Group1:Can you say something about Anita?
Group2:Can you make a dialogue about Philip ?
Group3:Suppose you are Sam, intoduce yourself to us.
(设计意图:听说结合,提高学生交际能力。)
