Step 1 Leading-in
1. Ask students what they usually do in their free time? And then ask students to guess what the teacher usually do in the free time.

Step 2 Presentation
Use the sentence: Mary is a beautiful girl to introduce defining relative clause Mary is a girl who has long hair.
Ask students to find out defining relative clause and object clause and the difference between them.
Use a sentence to introduce the defining relative clause is made up of three parts: antecedent, relative and defining relative clause.
